Bloom
Plant a flower bed around each numbered seed by shading cells of the grid. The unshaded cells you leave behind must form a single connected garden path winding between the beds. The garden path must be narrow enough that no water can pool in it.
Rules
- Each numbered seed grows into a connected bed of exactly that many shaded cells.
- The number includes the seed cell itself, so a "1" seed is a bed all on its own.
- Different beds may never touch edge-to-edge. Touching on a diagonal is fine.
- The unshaded cells form one connected garden path, and no 2×2 block of them may be entirely unshaded. A 2x2 block is shown by a puddle of water.
Controls
- Click a cell to shade it. Click again to clear it.
- Right-click a cell to mark it as "definitely not shaded" (and right-click again to clear the mark).
- Click and drag to paint several cells at once with whichever action you started.
- On mobile, tap a cell to cycle through empty, shaded, and marked.
Tips & Tricks
- A "1" seed is the whole bed by itself, so every cell next to it has to stay unshaded.
- When two seeds sit on a diagonal, the two cells between them must stay unshaded. Otherwise their beds would meet.
- If three cells of any 2×2 are unshaded, the fourth has to be shaded.
- A cell sitting between two different seeds has to join one of them, or stay unshaded if shading it would link them together.
